The Alta Sierra Elementary School Parents’ Club is a central part of our great school. Our active parents are a big part of why Alta Sierra is so successful.
What we do:
We support the school through fundraising – in fact, we raise about $40,000 each year!
This allows us to support vital programs like student field trips, computer lab, library, art classes, and the Accelerated Reader program.
Major fundraisers:
Fall Jog-a-thon – Students run laps around our beautiful grass field to the sound of great music in order to support their school – healthy and fun, too!
Spring Read-a-thon – Students read , read , read to support our school, with a kick-off “Reading Night” where teachers read favorite bedtime stories wearing their PJ’s!
Look for NEW Activities this year:
Movie Night under the STARS - admission is your escrip registration!
Pancake Breakfast with the Firefighters
Valentine Social and Auction
Some of our greatest successes:
Over $7,000 each year available to classroom teachers for supplies and activities
Over $6,000 each year provided for field trips to fantastic places, like the B Street Theatre, Sutter’s Fort, and the Sacramento Zoo.
$4,000 each year for school assemblies, like the Skydome Planetarium and the Auburn Symphony
Our meetings are the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm. We would love to see you there!
