All sixth graders have the opportunity to participate in Cross Country, Wrestling and Track and Field. There are no try-outs and no cuts. Any sixth grader who wishes to participate may do so. Cross Country occurs during the fall trimeste, wrestling in the winter, while track and field takes place during the spring trimester. Practices and meets are scheduled after school. Track events range from 100 meters to 1600 meters, as well as long jump, high jump, discus throw and shot put.
7th/8th Grade:

Seventh and Eighth Grade teams compete in the Nevada County Athletic League. Large School Teams include: Lyman Gilmore, Seven Hills, Magnolia, Union Hill, Pleasant Valley, Forest Lake, and Weimar.
Basketball and Volleyball hold try-outs to select their players. Football, Cross Country, Track and Field and Wrestling are open to all participants.
