Visual & Performing Arts introduces students to the basic skills of drawing, painting, graphic design, animation, and three-dimensional projects including: origami, weaving, block printing, theater, set design, costume design,prop work and puppetry. Students will also work in claymation with a focus on storyline development, line delivery and voice studies. Projects may vary by trimester.
Carrie Ferrero - Magnolia 7th-8th Grade Art Teacher
Carrie Ferrero, a graduate of Magnolia and Bear River High School, returned to Magnolia as a member of our staff in 2005. Since her arrival, Carrie Ferrero has made quite an impact teaching English, and inspiring students in her visual and performing arts classes. Most recently, Mrs. Ferrero has taken on the responsibility for the yearbook and leadership class and serves as the Student Council Advisor. Her passion and dedication for teaching and inspiring young lives, make her one of Magnolia's treasures. Mrs. Ferrero received her BA from Humbolt State University and her teaching credential from CSU Fullerton. She began her teaching career in Southern California where she taught English and Drama and was the assistant coach for the Girls Basketball Team. Away from Magnolia, Mrs. Ferrero enjoys scuba diving and spending time with her husband and son.
