The Rattler PIT received an exciting boost when Magnolia was selected as a beta test site for the latest Hyperstudio 5 in June of 2008.  As a previous user of Hyperstudio, Mr. Peach was well aware of what additional function was possible with this dynamic multimedia software.  Hyperstudio is a wonderful fit for Magnolia's "student as multimedia authors" concept incorporating text images, sounds, movies, animations and drawing tools which allow students to be wildly creative.  It also gives teachers a wonderful tool to deliver curriculum in a way that really speaks to students.  The executives at Hyperstudio were so impressed with the creative projects that were being turned out by Magnolia's middle school students, they recruited Jeff Peach to be their spokesperson.   While Mr Peach is out telling the world how wonderful Hyperstudio is, we thought we should share with our families the amazing projects our students are doing, from Health to Science and Social Studies to English, learning never looked so creative and so fun.  Rumor has it that while students are working on these creative projects they are so into it that you can hear a pin drop!
